The aim of this scholarship is to support students who demonstrate commitment to and excellence in the field of anthropology.
The scholarship was established in 2010 by anthropology alumni from the class of 2005 in honor of Professor Mary Schweitzer (1936–2023), in recognition of her contributions to the development of anthropology at AUCA and her lasting dedication to the success of her former students. Professor Schweitzer, a U.S.-based anthropologist, taught at AUCA from 2002 to 2003 and from 2004 to 2005.
