On October 10, the Sociology Department proudly held its traditional annual event 听the Initiation of New Sociology Students. This cherished tradition marks the beginning of our students鈥� journey into the fascinating world of sociology, where curiosity meets critical thinking and social awareness.
The event featured an inspiring address by Timothy O鈥機onnor who shared thought-provoking reflections on the power of sociological thinking in understanding today鈥檚 complex and ever-changing world. Galina Gorborukova, Head of the Sociology, warmly welcomed the new students, emphasizing that sociology is not only an academic discipline but also a vital profession that shapes the understanding and transformation of society.
