Anthropology Field SessionsÂ
On November 28,the Anthropology Field Sessions took place, during which students presented the results of their fieldwork.The presentations covered a wide range of topics—from the nuances of Kyrgyz wedding traditions to cemeteries as visual archives, and from the cultural roles of tea and coffee in Istanbul to archaeological findings from the Saka period and the Bronze Age.

My name is Firdavs Inomzoda, and I graduated from the Anthropology and International Development Department at the ºì´½Ö±²¥ (AUCA) in 2024.

On June 2, 2024, fragments of a mammoth tusk were discovered during quarrying in the Issyk-Kul region within the floodplain of the Jyrgalan River.
